About Sentivy
Sentivy helps Discord moderators review possible breaches of their own server rules. An administrator selects a rules channel and a private review channel, checks the saved rules, and enables monitoring. The bot uses TypeSafe AI to assess eligible message text and nearby conversation.
The service is in development and early testing. Features, access limits, and supported integrations may change. The website demo is illustrative: it does not show real user messages or measured AI results.
In these terms, Sentivy, we, and us refer to the Sentivy project and its operators. These terms describe your use of the service. Discord is not a party to the relationship between Sentivy and its users.
Eligibility and authority
You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement and any higher age or capacity requirement applicable to you. Where required, a parent or legal guardian must agree to your use of the service. Sentivy does not independently verify the ages of server members.
Only install, configure, or operate Sentivy for a server when you have the required authority. When acting for an organisation, you must be authorised to act for it. These terms govern people who choose to install or use Sentivy; they do not treat every member of a server as having consented to data processing simply because the bot is present.
Administrator and moderator responsibilities
Before enabling monitoring, inform members that message text is assessed by an external AI service and make the Privacy Policy accessible. Configure appropriate channel access, check the saved rules and exceptions, and keep review cards restricted to authorised moderators.
You are responsible for having a valid basis for the processing you request and for keeping your server rules and moderation practices lawful. An installation permission is not a substitute for all necessary notices, permissions, or agreements.
Review the original message, surrounding context, and applicable rule before a sanction. Offer a reasonable way to contact the server’s moderation team about a decision. Keep Discord’s role hierarchy and permissions appropriately restricted.
AI assistance, not automatic punishment
The current bot can surface a possible violation with model scores and a matched rule. A moderator can choose a timeout, a ban, or no action. The model does not independently authorise a punishment.
AI assessments can be incorrect, biased, or incomplete. A score is not proof of misconduct or a guarantee of accuracy. Sarcasm, quotations, context, and different languages can affect results. Sentivy is not an emergency service or a substitute for professional or legal judgement.
The service may miss messages when disabled, disconnected, rate-limited, overloaded, or unable to access content. Do not depend on it as the only way to detect threats, scams, abuse, or illegal content.
Acceptable use
Use Sentivy lawfully and in accordance with Discord’s terms and community rules. In particular, do not:
- Use the service to harass, discriminate, surveil people unlawfully, or expose private information.
- Bypass channel permissions, role checks, review confirmations, security controls, or rate limits.
- Send malware, deliberately overload the service, or access data that is not yours to access.
- Represent a model assessment as a verified fact or impersonate Sentivy, Discord, or another person.
- Use Discord content obtained through the service for advertising, selling data, or training AI models.
Your content and privacy
You and other content owners retain ownership of your content. To the extent you have the authority to do so, you permit the limited processing necessary to provide the requested moderation and support functions, including delivery to the service providers described in the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership or grant a general right to sell or train on the content.
The Privacy Policy explains what the bot and website process, who receives data, retention, and how to request access or deletion. It is an information notice, not blanket consent to every type of processing.
Waitlist, early access, and future pricing
Joining the waitlist requests early access. Requests are reviewed manually and selected applicants may receive a single-use invitation code by email from a Sentivy operator. Dashboard access depends on the mode in effect. In invitation-only mode, redeeming a code after Discord sign-in unlocks the dashboard for that Discord account while its invitation grant remains active and the dashboard is available. Allowlisted Sentivy operators do not need a code. In broader-access mode, eligible server managers do not need a code; Discord sign-in, current server permissions, and the bot installation are still checked. We may revoke a code or invitation grant. Withdrawing a waitlist signup cancels any unused code linked to it; a grant already redeemed by a Discord account must be revoked from that account or by a Sentivy operator. Joining is not a purchase, does not guarantee an invitation, broader access, or a launch date, and does not create a paid subscription. You can withdraw your signup as described in the Privacy Policy.
The current website does not take payments. Any paid plan would require separate information about the price, billing, cancellation, refunds, and applicable terms before a purchase. No fee is created merely by these terms or by joining the waitlist.
Availability and changes
We aim to operate the service responsibly, but do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular response time, or that every rule violation will be detected. Discord, TypeSafe, hosting services, and network connections can affect operation.
We may fix, change, limit, or suspend features for maintenance, security, abuse prevention, or legal and platform requirements. Where practical, we will give reasonable notice of material changes. Preserve any moderation records you need in accordance with applicable privacy obligations.
Ending use and suspension
Administrators can pause monitoring or remove the bot through Discord. You can stop using the website at any time. Removing the bot stops new processing through that installation, but is not a promise that all previously stored records and Discord review cards immediately disappear.
We may restrict access when needed to address abuse, security risks, or breaches of these terms or platform rules. Requests to erase personal data are handled as described in the Privacy Policy, including where access has ended. Contact us about a disputed service restriction; contact the relevant server moderators about a server ban or timeout.
Limitations and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the early-access service is supplied as available, without a promise that AI assessments are correct or that the service is suitable for every purpose. You must exercise your own judgement when using it.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights, data protection rights, or access to courts and regulators. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive your right to bring a claim. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions apply to the extent permitted by law.
Updates to these terms
We will publish revised terms at this address with an updated date. For material changes, we will provide notice through an appropriate available channel and seek agreement where the law requires it. Changes do not retrospectively authorise a new use of personal data.
Sentivy is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord. These terms do not replace or override the terms governing your use of Discord.
